Founded in 1994, Hof University of Applied Sciences offers a very attractive study environment with its modern architecture and state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. We offer more than 40 modern Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Business, Computer Science, Engineering and Interdisciplinary and Innovative Sciences in English and German language. All professors have a strong academic background as well as extensive practical experience in industry. Teaching is based on innovative methods to convey application-oriented knowledge. As we foster an ongoing dialogue with industry, our graduates are well prepared to enter the national and international job markets. 

Intensive personal support

We are well known for our friendly study atmosphere: Hof University was voted “Germany's most popular university” in 2023 and 2024 by the university rating portal Studycheck.de. Students were particularly satisfied with the personal support provided by lecturers and the digitalization of teaching.

An excellent student-lecturer ratio allows for frequent contact between students and professors. Applied research

The University's six research institutes concentrate on Information Systems, Biopolymers, Material Sciences, Water and Energy Management, Sustainability, as well as Economic and Organizational Research. Our research is guided by principles of practice-orientation, internationalization, and resource efficiency, with a particular focus on indoor climate systems and water.
