Elite Network of Bavaria

Outstanding academic achievement is actively promoted and rewarded in Bavaria. The state is the first in Germany to offer a special awards scheme for exceptionally talented students – the Elite Network of Bavaria.
It supports students, graduates and postgraduate via its Elite Graduate Programmes, the Max Weber Programme for highly gifted students, International Doctorate Programmes, the Marianne-Plehn-Programme for highly qualified young scien­tists, and the International Junior Research Groups supporting young academics during their transition to academic in­de­pen­dence.
