(Excellence Strategy)
The Excellence Strategy is a programme of the German government and the federal states, run by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) and the Wissenschaftsrat (German Research Council). Its aim is to increase the international competitiveness, visibility and quality of top research in Germany. Six Clusters of Excellence and two institutional strategies are funded by the Excellence Strategy at Bavarian universities. Read more information on the Excellence Strategy.
