Sudarshan in Ingolstadt

Sudarshan from India

Sudarshan Madhavan from India studies for a master’s degree in International Automotive Engineering at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences. He has chosen a university in Bavaria, as the state is the home of famous car manufacturers like BMW and Audi. Stuttgart, where other major German car companies are situated, is also fairly close.

At his university the 24-year-old student particularly likes the friendly atmosphere. “Staff at the university’s International Office are helpful in assisting students in every way possible”, he says. He also praises the advanced technical expertise of the lecturers and the well-equipped laboratories the institute offers.  After finishing his course in Ingolstadt, Sudarshan would like to work in the automobile industry in the field of simulation.

One of the student’s favourite places in Ingolstadt is the “Baggersee”, an artificial lake on the outskirts of the city where it is nice to relax. He also likes the view of the river Danube in front of the city’s castle “Neues Schloss”, which he describes as “typically European”. Finally, he enjoys spending time in his student accommodation in the city centre because “the landlord is kind and the house feels like a countryside resort”.

“Transportation is very convenient and easy in Bavaria”, Surdarshan says. In his spare time he likes visiting famous sights and places like the Zugspitze, Berchtesgaden or the Oktoberfest. If he was to write a postcard to his friends and family in India, he would say that “Bavaria is a must-see once in your lifetime!”
