Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg (EVHN)

The Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg (EVHN) is a nationally recognised centre of university education for social education, care-oriented and religious education careers in social ministries, the church and the wider society. Education is based on the Christian concept of man. Therefore, aside from the scientific foundation of the lessons, research, further and continuing education, there are additional topics on offer – all types of spiritual, personality-building and general education. The EVHN is open to all denominations.

In addition to their scientific qualification and training, students are encouraged to reflect on their own person and ethical questions in one’s profession and in society.

The manageable size of approximately 1,300 students and small study groups allow for a personal atmosphere between lecturers and students. As a state-approved university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, the EVHN cooperates with reputable practice institutions and other universities at home and abroad.

The lessons are conducted almost exclusively in German. If you are interested in a course of studies or further education, please contact the International Office, Tel:+49 (0)911 27253-730, auslandsamt(at)evhn.de.

The location of the university in the midst of a large city and the strong theoretical and practical basis of our degree courses offer many advantages in terms of networking with practical institutions, libraries, other universities and communal as well as church-run and Lutheran social service institutions. A good infrastructure as well as being embedded within an attractive culture and leisure region are advantages from which lecturers and students benefit alike.
