Ansbach University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1996 as a modern university in the region of Franconia. With nearly 3,100 students, 61 professors and 218 members of research support staff, it is today among the most successful young universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. According to its mission statement, the University regards education as a creative process to encourage the development of talents within the framework of “knowledge”, “ability” and “responsible actions”.
Classes are taught by highly motivated lecturers with practical work experience in their respective fields. With an excellent student-teacher ratio and small learning groups the University offers an ideal environment for successful, applied studies. In addition, modern facilities in the laboratories ensure that courses are practical and up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Ansbach University of Applied Sciences currently offers thirteen bachelor’s and nine master’s degree courses in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Multimedia, Journalism and Biotechnology. All courses are designed to match the needs of the modern workplace, in close co-operation with the University’s numerous regional business partners. As a result, graduates of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences have excellent career prospects. Students are also actively encouraged to gain additional skills throughout their studies, for example by learning a foreign language or acquiring soft skills or intercultural competencies.
Services for international students include intensive German lessons and tutorials to help with exam preparation, as well as social and cultural activities, such as trips to Munich, Berlin or important sights in the region. These programmes are designed to help international students improve their knowledge about Germany, while also helping them to get accustomed to the German way of life and to feel at home in their host country.

Ansbach is a picturesque, small city in Franconia with 45,000 inhabitants and a great quality of life.
